The founder and CEO, Matt Bair, first encountered an aquaponics system at the Cincinnati Zoo around 2010. Having been in the software and IoT field for years, he immediately saw an opportunity to build a robust system that could transform agriculture as we know it.
After moving to Colorado in 2016, Matt founded Holoponics™. He began research and development in his garage and basement, while also creating a pharmaceutical software business, Janus 3 Software Solutions. He started a relationship with the owners of Vibrant Life Farms around the same time. By 2023 Matt started building a team and began developing the aquaponics system and software.
Holoponics™ now has a diverse team of experts, bringing the system together and getting the word out. We now have a fully running system at Vibrant Life Farms, and the team is developing an advanced software system. The company is also pursuing R & D on aquaponics systems and engineering.
The vision for Holoponics™ is to provide a reliable and profitable climate controlled aquaponics system that can be adopted and scaled anywhere in the world. This will have enormous impact on the economic viability of farming, as well as the ability to increase and make available healthy, wholesome, locally-grown food.
We are in the middle of our initial phase, which began in 2023. We have a fully running aquaponics system at Vibrant Life Farms here in Colorado. We are currently developing an aquaponics software that will monitor the entire infrastructure, collect data and control various parts of the system. The data will in turn be used to develop a data model. The data model will provide reliable information for planning systems in various places around the world. We are also experimenting with greenhouse design and climate control technologies.
We will start the second phase of development later this year, as we build out a comprehensive software system to handle very aspect of aquaponics farming. We will also begin the engineering work for energy integration, enabling easier construction of systems that have low climate control costs. And we will continue our R & D on advanced greenhouse systems and technology.
